Frances Smith Boyer, 78, of Sparta passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2011. Mrs. Boyer was a native of Baldwin County and had made her home in Hancock County for the past 58 years.
Daughter of Willie Lee Smith, Sr., and Epsie Johnson Smith, she was the widow of the late Robert W. "Bobby" Boyer Jr., she was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Boyer Hamilton. She was a member of Devereaux Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Mike) Bray of Macon; three grandchildren, Brett (Casey) Bray of Jefferson, Brandy Kennedy of Pooler and Brianna (Chris) Sherrell of Macon; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Sherrell of Macon; a sister, Esther (Earl) Cheely of Carrollton; a brother, Kenneth (Linda) Smith of Monticello; and a number of other relatives. She is deeply missed.
