She was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Erie County to the late Franz Ferdinand and Vira Skinner Miller.
Mrs. Saunders was a former resident of Rich Hill Road in North East and had lived in Florida for the past five years.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliay of North East.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Saunders; a son, Melvin Saunders; two brothers, Phillip and Richard Miller; and a sister, Gladys Roache.
She is survived by two sons, Clifford P. Saunders of Erie and Thomas J. Saunders of Wesleyville; three daughters, Marjorie Rictor of Tampa, Fla., Gladys Shell of Land-O-Lakes, Fla., and Patricia Sayre of Tampa; two brothers, Shelton Miller of North East and David Miller of North East; a sister, Genevieve Peters of North East.
Burial will be at Grahanville Cemetery, North East.
