ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Ruby Byers Knox, 86, of 4350 McConnells Hwy., died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Piedmont Medical Center. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Dr. David Bender officiating. A native of York County, Mrs. Knox was a daughter of the late James Edward Byers and Julia Edna Seagle Byers. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, and she was the widow of Randolph R. Knox. Surviving are her son, Charles Knox of Jacksonville, N.C.; three caregivers, Peggy Hutto, Denny Maples and Justin Shealy; her grandchild; and her great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 4858 McConnells Hwy., York, SC 29745. Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.
