Jasmine was the first cat to win my bride's heart. When Jasmine arrived at our home, she came into the house and sat under Sharon's chair at the breakfast table (unusual for a stray to do in our neighborhood). Sharon telephoned me on her way to work and asked if she should buy some cat food on her way home and "if we ever got a cat, it would have to be exactly like that one...". I told her that if she had looked closer, she would have seen the cat's 'bag and baggage' and I believed that she was here to stay. For the first couple of years, she would disappear for a few days and weeks and then come back. Some of my neighbors told me that they tried to keep her but she wouldn't stay with them. She finally settled in with us and became protective of our home and family. She greeted us verbally every morning and each time we entered the house with her "Wracch".
