Rev, DANIEL BOLAND. Dan did his studies at St. Columban's, Buffalo [1932-35]; St. Columban's, Silver Creek [1935-37]; St. Columban's, Bristol [1937-38]; St. Columban's, Silver Creek [1938-40]; and St. Columban's, Nebraska [1940-44].
He was ordained priest on December 18, 1943. For the next 20 years he was involved in the formation of Columban students in the U.S. He was Director of the U.S. Region from 1962 to 1967. Dan died at the age of 48 from cancer and is buried at Silver Creek, NY.

Daniel A Boland was born on February 15, 1919, in Buffalo NY. He did his studies at Saint Columban's, in Buffalo NY (1932-1935); Saint Columban's, in Silver Creek NY (1935-1937); Saint Columban's, in Bristol RI (1937-1938); Saint Columban's, in Silver Creek NY (1938-1940); and Saint Columban's, in Omaha NE (1940-1944). He was ordained to the sacred priesthood on December 18, 1943.

For the next 20 years, Father Dan was involved in the formation of Columban students in the United States. He was Director of the US Region, from 1962 to 1967.

Rev Boland died on September 2, 1967, from cancer, at Buffalo NY, at the age of 48. He is buried at the Missionary Society of Saint Columban Cemetery, in Silver Creek NY.

His cenotaph memorial in Navan, County Meath, Ireland is located at the Missionary Society of Saint Columban Cemetery.
