Terry L. Bishop, 68, of Carlisle died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill. Born Dec. 14, 1944 in Mechanicsburg, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Verna E. Vogelsong Bishop.
He was a member of New Hope First Church of God, Carlisle. Terry is a retired USMC veteran who served in Vietnam.
Surviving are one son, Terry L. Bishop (and wife, Jackie) of Carlisle; one daughter, Michelle Duncan (and husband, Mike) of Carlisle; two brothers, Francis M. Bishop (and wife, Joyce) of Mechanicsburg and David Bishop (and wife, Shirley) of Shippensburg; two sisters, Nancy Sweeney and Shirley Smith, both of Carlisle; three granddaughters; one grandson and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with the Rev. Dennis Killinger officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
