Col. I. W. "Doc" Adams of Murphysboro died at age 90 on Sunday, April 2, 2000, in Herrin.
He was born in Medford, Massachusetts on February 1, 1910, the son of Louis and Rebecca Davis Adams.
He married Irma R. Bakersmith who died July 23, 1972.
He is survived by a dear friend, Pauline Presley of Murphysboro; one daughter, Patricia Puglia of Danbury, Connecticut; two sons, John W. Adams of Westchester, Pennsylvania and Michael L. Adams of Killeen, Texas; one brother, James Clifford of Beach Haven, New Jersey; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Col. Adams was a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel.
