Kenneth R. Beals 81, of Kokomo passed away at 2:24 pm on September 30, 2013 at St. Vincents Specialty Care Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1932 in Howard County near New London to Arthur and Elsie (Ridgeway) Beals. On August 14, 1959 Kenneth married Rose Ann Haak of 54 years and she survives.

Kenneth was a 1959 Western High School graduate and went to Moler Barber College in Chicago. He worked as a barber at Bon Air Barber Shop and was the Director of Kokomo Rescue Mission from 1975 - 1988 were he volunteered in ministry and cutting hair. Kenneth also was an Air Plane Mechanic with the Air Force from 1951 - 1953. He also was a lay minister around Howard County.

Survivors include his wife Rose Ann Beals of Kokomo; two sons Mark J. (Lee) Beals of Ft. Wayne, Joe A. (Janie) Beals of Kokomo; brother Dale (Wilma) Beals of Kokomo; brother in-law Edwin (Rose Mary) Haak of Sharpsville; one grandson Joe King.

Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Elsie Beals; brother James Beals.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St. in Russiaville with Pastor Marlin Beachy. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 9 to 10 am on Thursday before the funeral services start. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
