Karla Renee' Anderson, 55, of Amarillo died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Washington Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Shelburne officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Karla was the best mother, an incredible LaLa, and a loving daughter, sister and friend. She loved being outside in her garden, riding horses, raising goats and llamas, and was also known as the Chicken Lady. She made a huge impact on anyone lucky enough to know her and was loved by many.

Karla loved the mountains, "well dang it," she just loved life. Her strong faith in the Lord, along with her own personal strength, saw her through many challenges in her life. She will never be forgotten and will always be deeply missed.

Survivors include a son, Kody Chance Anderson and wife Sarah; her grandsons, Karson and Kayden; her parents, C.D. and Joy Frank, all of Amarillo; her brothers, Kevin and wife Janice of Wylie and Kerry and wife Sherrill of Valle de Oro; a nephew, Justin Frank and wife Kaylan; a niece, Haley Frank; her Auntie Glenda Anderson of Duncan, Okla.; an uncle, Donald Frank and wife Bettychene of Altus, Okla.; and several cousins

The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or any animal rescue center.
