Miss Agnes Gunn, 88, of near Stillwell, passed away at 1:30 a.m. June 29, 1980, at her farm home, following an extended illness.
Miss Gunn was born July 21, 1891, near Mendon, a daughter of Vincent and Rosanna Ward Gunn. She lived on the farm for sixty-seven years. She was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic church in West Point. She is survived by her brother, Michael, with whom she made her home.
Rosary was recited Monday evening at the Freeman Funeral Home in West Point, with the Rev. Father Francis White officiating. The Mass of Resurrection was celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church, West Point, with Father White as celebrant. Randy DeJaynes was organist and sang the Mass. There was standing room only in the church, attesting to the high regard in which "Aggie" was held. Casket bearers were Dale Markey, George Hopkins, Robert Morris, Paul Laffey Jr., Junior Dittmer and Robert Dittmer. Interment was in Bloomfield Cemetery near Mendon.
