Funeral services for Dwight Arlien of Roosevelt will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 3 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Dwight Alfred Monroe Arlien of Roosevelt, MN passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2009 at the age of 64 years.
Dwight was born on June 12, 1944 in McVille, ND, the son of Edward and Margit (Hegvick) Arlien. He attended school and graduated from McVille High School.
He and Carolyn Moen, of Devils Lake, ND, were married on February 24, 1973 in Devils Lake, ND. They lived and farmed in Pekin, ND until 1987. They moved to Devils Lake, ND where Dwight worked for Rem Inc. They later moved to Warroad, MN in 1990 where Dwight worked for Marvin Windows and Doors until his retirement in April of 2007.
Dwight enjoyed hunting, fishing, working for local farmers and mostly, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of Roosevelt, MN; son, Jeffrey of Roosevelt, MN; daughter, Jennifer (Kurt) Praska of Badger, MN; grandchildren, Austin and Zachary Arlien and Ethan and Morgan Praska; sister, Glenna (Gary) Rothfusz of Ashley, ND and brother, Verne (Marlys) Arlien of Ashley, ND; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving are two very special girls, Rusti Post of Marysville, WA and Tracy Armes of Marysville, WA.
Interment will be at the Sheyenne Lutheran Cemetery in rural Pekin, ND.
