A memorial service for Ruth Anderson will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Wabanica Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN at 2:00 p.m. Friends are welcome at 1:00 p.m. at Wabanica for a time of visitation prior to the memorial service.
Ruth Joyce (De Marre) Anderson "Tootie" was born on August 24, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to Ruth (Thompson) and Lawrence De Marre.
She married Stanley Anderson on February 12, 1966. They resided in Brooklyn Park where they raised their two children, Travis and Tanya. Ruth worked at Falkner's Laundry.
She and Stanley moved to Baudette, MN on June 1, 1999 following their retirement and lived in Wabanica Township. Ruth enjoyed watching the deer and birds from her dining room window. She also enjoyed reading and watching television, always with a diet coke in hand. She loved her Diet Coke! She and Stanley are members of Wabanica Lutheran Church.
Ruth passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at her home in Baudette. She was 72 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Baudette; son, Travis (Nina) Anderson of Annandale, MN; daughter, Tanya Warnke of Baudette (Dennis Warnke of Warroad); grandchildren, Kailee and Amanda Anderson, and Ella Warnke; sister, Phyllis (Mike) Aho; niece, Kathy (Mike) Michalk; nephew, Michael Aho, and many friends.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Lawrence De Marre; sisters, Gail, Carol, and Sandy; and niece, Donna.
