Parsons was born September 15,1914, in Bozeman, Montana to Herbert Nicholas and Eliza Jane {Doyle} Benham. She was the youngest of four children, Joe, Herbert and Jessie {who preceded Peggy in death}.
When she was four years old, the family moved to Salmon where they farmed. She graduated from high school in 1933. In September of that year, she married Arthur Levi Pasons, in Salmon. Except for a couple short stays near Boise, the couple ran a very successful dairy in Salmon.
He was clerk and bookkeeper for the Salmon Sales Yard for many years and she assisted him. After his death, she continued working for Jerry and Carol Pearson at their auctions. For several years she volunteered as cashier and financial manager at the Senior Citizens Center, which she enjoyed very much. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and her family.
In September of 2003, she left her beloved Salmon River Valley, to be near her family in Great Falls. Her last years were in the lost world of dementia, but her eyes would always light up at the appearance of family.
A special that you to Donnalee and her band of angels for taking such wonderful care of Parsons.
Parsons is survived by her daughters Mary Parsons of Idaho Falls and Martha Sorensen Dyrdahl of Great Falls; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
