Harry A. (Curley) McVicker Sr., 65, of Stoystown died March 12, 1974,
in Stoystown. Born March 20, 1908, in Bedford County son of Charles
and Ruth (Logue) McVicker. Preceded in death by parents, one brother
and one sister. Survived by widow, the former Vivian Custer, and the
following children: Harry Jr. of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Duane (Janet)
Greathouse of Royal Oak, Mich.; Mrs. Robert (Dolly) Snyder of
Stoystown; Mrs. Eugene (Charmaine) Soha of Boswell; Mrs. John
(Lorraine) Hollan of Stoystown; and Ray Allen of Arlington, Va.; 17
grandchildren. He was a brother of William of Stoystown RD 1;
Charles of Central City RD 1; Warden of Boswell RD; Robert of Toledo,
Ohio; Mrs. James (Lilian) Brown of Newton Falls, Ohio; Mrs. Thomas
(Ruby) Lease of York; and Mrs. Charles (Lou) Carolus of Windber. He
was a retired PennDOT employe, member of Quemahoning Rod & Gun Club
and World War II army veteran. Family will receive friends from 7 to
9 p.m. Wednesday (today) and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the
Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be
conducted 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. J. R. Peterson officiating.
Interment, Oddfellow Cemetery, Stoystown.
