Matilda Bankert Shuler was the daughter of Zephaniah B. Bankert and Alice B. Kemp natives of Maryland. They first moved to Pennsylvania before permanently settling in Morristown, Shelby, Indiana in early 1870 when she was seven years old.
She married Henry Fox Shuler in 1883 and lived all of their married life in Butler County, Ohio. Born May 22, 1863 in Pennsylvania he died April 14, 1940 in Winchester, Clark, Kentucky and is buried in Hamilton County, Ohio. in the 1910 census Matilda had seven children four living. These are their known children.
