She was born on January 11, 1947 in Alexandria Bay, NY, daughter of William Pilon and Loretta Burns. She graduated from high school in Cape Vincent in 1965.
Following school she worked at Upstate Hospital and then worked for Mercy Hospital for the next twenty one years up until it closed as an operating technician. She was currently working at Jefferson Anesthesiologist as the lead anesthesiologist technician ,where she has worked for the past twenty one years.
She married Richard Burns on May 4, 1991 at the Jefferson County Historical Society by Eugene Piddock. The couple resided in Watertown.
She was a member of ASATT, enjoyed gardening and going to the family farm on Millens Bay Road.
Among her survivors are her husband, Richard Burns; two daughters and a son in law, Renee G. Fletcher, Allison L. and Steve Morely and a son, Ryan Murphy, all of Watertown; three stepsons, Robert D. Burns, Carthage, Brian Burns, Watertown, Aaron Burns and his wife Andrea, Niceville, FL; two brothers and their wives, Dan and Pat Pilon, CA, Kelly and Sandy Pilon, CA; four sisters and a brother in law, Peggy Matthews, NY, Cynthia and Mark Ferdinandsen, NC, Kas Pilon, CA, Tammy Choy, CA; 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, four step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be 10:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held 11:30 a.m. at the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rosiere.
Burial will follow in the St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Rosiere.
