HASTINGS — BAKER – Monica K., 92, formerly of Ebensburg, died Sept. 30, 2013, at Golden Living Center-HAIDA, Hastings. Born April 16, 1921, in Chest Township, daughter of the late Alphonse and Romana (Warner) Baker of Patton R.D. Preceded in death by brothers, Bernard, Charles, Herman, Clarence, Francis, Paul and James; and sister, Orlena. Survived by sisters, Ruth O'Donnell, Ebensburg; Dolores (William) Young, Cheswick; and brother, William (Mary Kay), Navarre, Ohio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Patton High School and moved to Detroit, Mich., where she obtained employment. She worked as a secretary for Peninsular Steel until her retirement. Seven years ago, she moved back to Ebensburg. According to Monica's wishes, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment, St. Augustine Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg
