Edith Virginia Andrick Rich, 89, of Lafayette, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at George Davis Manor in West Lafayette. Born on Nov. 2, 1917, in Philippi, WV, to the late Virgil and Ethel Kittle Andrick, she was raised in Fairmont, WV, and graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1936. She had been a resident of the Lafayette area since 1956. She married Carl D. Rich on June 21, 1941, and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1996. Mrs. Rich was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, reading and gardening.
Surviving are a daughter, Carla Newell (husband: Ted) of Lafayette; and a sister, Juanita Springer of Fairmont. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jeff Chrissikos (wife: Janis) and Jodi Chrissikos Detamore (husband: Champ); two stepgrandchildren, John Newell (wife: Angie) and Brian Newell; nine great-grandchildren, Drew, Toby and Shane Detamore, Jocelyn, Emeline, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Matthew and Sylvianne Chrissikos; and two great-stepgrandchildren, Cory Detamore and Tom Newell. Preceded in death by a brother Stanley Andrick.
