Clinton "Pop" C. Sanders, age 84, of Malvern passed away Monday, September 30 at his home. He was born April 2, 1929, in Bismarck, the son of the late Nathan Holland and Junia Alaska Hobgood Sanders. Clinton graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1948, received his Batchelor's degree in Education from Henderson State University and received his Master's degree in Education from East Texas State. Clinton taught at Malvern High School for 27 years, was in the United States Army, enjoyed gardening, music, teaching and served as Dorm Dad at Ouachita Baptist University for fifteen years. He was also a member of Third Baptist Church in Malvern. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Elster Sanders and Vernon Sanders; sisters, Vera Sanders, Velma Adcock and Freda Wheeler.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Arkadelphia.
