SHERBURNE >> Laura K. Goodfellow, 77, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, N.Y.She was born Dec. 30, 1936 in Cuyler, N.Y., a daughter of Arthur and Pearl DeGraff Oliver and received her education in DeRuyter schools. Laura married Harold E. Wedge who predeceased her on Jan. 4, 1961. She later married Herbert L. Goodfellow. Laura owned the D & L Bar in New Woodstock for 10 years, and later, the Roadside Inn in West Eaton for 21 years until her retirement. She was the former treasurer of the Erieville Fire Department for many years. She was an avid bowler.Surviving are her fiancé, Clair Wilbur of Sherburne; her children, Donna Scheiterle of Cocoa, Fla., Deborah Foster of DeRuyter, Roger and LaVia Wedge of Verona, Brenda Spaulding of Eaton, Cindy and David McMasters of Simpsonville, S.C., Tammy Hastings of Hilton Head, S.C. Sherry Adelberg of Jamesville and Mark Goodfellow of Manlius; a sister, Rose Rarick of Munnsville; brother, Roland Oliver of Albuquerque, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Wedge in 1956, a daughter, Linda Rae in 1963; two sisters, Lois Grennall and Ruth Miller; and a brother, Ralph Oliver.Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family.Contributions in her memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central NY Chapter, 2507 James St., Suite 106, Syracuse, N.Y. 13206.Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
