BARRETT, CHRIS, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Baptist Health Louisville. Chris was born on January 11, 1972 in Louisville, to the late Alvin G. Barrett and Carolyn Barrett Pruitt. He was a site superintendent for Gallatin Steel Mill in Ghent, KY and employed by Alpha Mechanical. He was a member of the Pipefitter and Plumber Union #502, and was a parishioner at St. Gabriel the Archangel. Along with his parents; his brother, Patrick Allen Barrett; and step father, Lionel Pruitt has preceded him in death. Left to carry on his memory are his wife of 18 years, Karen Kellerman Barrett; sons, Nicholas and Austin Barrett; brothers and sisters, Vickie Skaggs (Bobby), Denise Gordon (Ricky), Alvin Barrett (Lanette), Tony Barrett (Carol), Susan Springston (Rick), Bridget Lewis (Kevin), Herbie Barrett, Elizabeth McCordy (Mike), Lonnie Pruitt (Kim), and Angela Hartlage (John), along with several nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him very much. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at St. Gabriel the Archangel, 5505 Bardstown Road, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery
