Clifford L. Adkins passed away Sept. 27, 2013, at 7 p.m., at Midland Memorial Hospital. Surrounded by family, he passed peacefully, at the age of 73.

His loving wife of 41 years, Susie, and sons, Todd, Brandon and Doug survive Clifford.

His sister, Martha Sue Cherry of Carlsbad, NM, and his brother, Jack Adkins, of Presidio.

Cliff served 23-plus years in the U.S. Border Patrol. After retiring from the Patrol, he quickly went to work for the U.S. Marshall's Service, protecting Federal judges.

Finally, returning to his true passion, Cliff worked in the greater-West Texas area, working at Childs Corporation.

During his off-time he enjoyed collecting coins, and maintaining his and Susie's beautiful home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at 10 a.m., at the East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
