She was born April 15, 1935, in Alton, MO, a daughter of the late Perry and Ella (Casey) Roberts.
Mary Ann graduated from high school in Alton, Missouri in 1953. A resident of New Castle since 1970, she was employed at J.C. Penney in New Castle for 14 years until the New Castle store closed. She enjoyed cooking, taking cruises and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Melvin Lawrence of New Castle, whom she married February 3, 1955 in St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Teresa (John) Ayres of Noblesville; a son, Mark (Marieda) Lawrence of Russellville, AR; five grand-children, Brandon (Kaci) Lawrence of Littleton, CO, Jade (Marlena) Lawrence of Greenwood, AR, Robby Horn of Noblesville, IN, Mary Ann Horn of Indianapolis, and Ellen Horn of Indianapolis; two step grand-children, Marci (Jerred) Copeland of Raleigh, NC, and Sara Ayres of Indianapolis; four great grand-children, Maddie Lawrence, Zoe Lawrence, Will Lawrence, and Reid Lawrence; and a step great grandchild, Perry Copeland; two sisters in law, Joyce Roberts and Anna Marie Roberts, both of Alton, MO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Paul, Willard, Phillip, Alex, Lloyd, and Louie Roberts.
Arrangements were by: Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Funeral services were at Irby Funeral Home in Rector, AR, and burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas.
