(1914 - 1985)

Alex Wicihowski, 70, of 1222 S. 26th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, May 1 at Memorial Hospital Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Wicihowski was born July 15, 1914, at Manitowoc son of the late John and Rose Jagodinskey Wicihowski. Mr. Wicihowski resided in Manitowoc all his life. He married the former Irene R. Blashka on December 12, 1935 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Mr. Wicihowski was employed at Mirro Aluminum since September 1930, retiring in July 1979 with holding the position as Supervisor. Mr. Wicihowski was a member of Mirro Management Club, St. Mary Parish and was a very active golfer and bowler in the Manitowoc area.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; six sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome and Kathleen of Greendale, Wisconsin, George and June of Appleton, Robert and Linda of Plattsburgh, New York, Eugene and Jody of New Berlin, Wisconsin, David and Kathryn of Menasha, and Donald and Beverly of Manitowoc; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Marie and Larry Stumpf of Covington, Louisiana, Karen and John Berzinsky of Manitowoc, Shirley and Tom Crabtree of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Mary and Tom Tomasik of Waukesha; a brother, Harry of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. George (Sophie) March, Mrs. Thomas (Esther) Shallue and Mrs. Ervin (Violet) Vetter, all of Manitowoc, 19 grandchildren and a great grandchild, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eleanore Wicihowski and Mrs. Grace Wicihowski, both of Manitowoc, nieces and nephews also survived. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Florian and Joseph, a sister, Elaine, a granddaughter, a daughter-in-law, Mary Wicihowski and a son-in-law Richard Endries.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening led by Father Berryman.
