M. EILEEN WERGIN
(1916 - 2005)
M. Eileen Wergin, age 89, entered into eternal peace Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Aurora Medical Center.
Born Jan. 23, 1916 in the town of Osman, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Liza Driscoll O'Neil. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. In 1940, she was united in marriage to Daniel P. Wergin Sr. The marriage was blessed with five children. Eileen began her working career for the St. Nazianz Salvatorian Brothers, then as an office worker for Mirro, a bookkeeper for her husband's painting business for many years, and for the past 22 years as the manager of the Virginia apartments. Eileen was a proud Irishwoman who lived life with gusto and spirit.
Eileen was preceded in death by an infant son: Joseph: and her husband: Daniel: as well as two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by a sister: Evelyn (Kenneth) Tosten; and brother-in-law: Steven Kukoski; her children: Daniel (Carol) Wergin; Margaret Wergin and Breezy Brindza; Dennis (Kay) Wergin; Donald Wergin and Patricia Newberry; sisters-in-law: Audrey and Marge O'Neil; and very special friend: Ken Brey. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lon (Karen) Wergin; Tonya (J.J.) Prosser; Scott Litersky: Brett Litersky; Nicole (Joe) Lacy; Eric (Elizabeth) Wergin; Stephanie Wergin; and Stacey Wergin. She is further survived by great-grandchildren: Matthew Schmidt; Emma, Lily, Isabella and Sophia Wergin; Collin and Brady Prosser: and Zachary and Xavier Litersky.
