Graveside services for Ricky Dale Sikes, 54, of Tyler, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. at Concord Cemetery near Chandler with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to service.
Ricky passed away suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at his residence in Tyler. He was born May 19, 1959, in Tyler to the late Jack and Wilma Jean Coffee Sikes. He lived in Tyler most of his life, worked for Don's TV and Appliance Store in Tyler and was a Baptist. Ricky graduated from Christian Academy School in Houston in 1977. He then served six years total in the Armed Forces (Army) for two active and six reserves. He was preceded in death by, not only his parents, but also by a brother, Jimmy Sikes.
He is survived by two brothers, Daniel Sikes, of Tyler, and David Sikes, of Arp; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
