Died Sunday, Jan. 14, 1996, at Grace Nursing Home, Clinton. She was 99, a resident of Ethel and native of West Feliciana Parish. Visiting was held at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at Ethel United Methodist Church, Ethel, 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. James Jones and the Rev. Darwin Hall. Interment in Dawson Family Cemetery. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Clark Dawson Jr. and Gladys Smith Dawson, Ethel; six grandchildren, Robert C. Dawson III, Haleyville, Ala., Constance Dawson Elrod, Sebring, Fla., Randall Smith Dawson, Ethel, Mary Ethel Dawson, Houston, Kathleen Hatcher Hopewell and Howard Timothy Hatcher, both of Zachary; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Clark Dawson Sr.; a daughter, Alice Dawson Hatcher; parents, Wiley and Eudora Petty McGraw; four sisters, Nettie McGraw Dawson, Etta McGraw Hebert, Daisy McGraw and Lillian McGraw Hansen; and three brothers, Percy, Elliott and O.W. "Woods" McGraw. Pallbearers will be Robert C. Dawson III, Randall S. Dawson, Howard Timothy Hatcher, John Hopewell, David McBrayer and Toler Hatcher. She was a member of Ethel United Methodist Church.
