Sidney "Kenneth" Ryan, age 88, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.

He was born April 15, 1922, in Green Ridge, the son of Ernest John and Mabel (Hampton) Ryan.

He was a graduate of Houstonia High School.
On November 19, 1944, he was united in marriage to Lora "Gayl" Owens in Sedalia.

"Kenneth" worked as a farmer until his retirement. He was a member of the Houstonia Community Church.

Sidney "Kenneth" Ryan is survived by his wife "Gayl" of the home and one niece: Elizabeth Mitchell of Manhattan, Kansas; and two nephews: Jim and Jack Ryan, both of Manhattan, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Moore Funeral Home in La Monte with Pastor Alan Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be Pat Wood, Brian Wood, Ron Higgins, Frank Higgins, Dave Boughton, and Barry Guier.
Burial will be at Houstonia Cemetery.
