Earlene Palmer Davis, Age 74,of Dayton, transitioned to be with the Lord September 24, 2013. Born July 22, 1939 in Brownsville, TN and a Dayton resident the majority of her life. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1957 and retired from the Dayton Mental Health Center after 30 dedicated years. She was baptized and reared at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Archie Mae Palmer, sisters, Mary Palmer McDonald, Sarah Palmer. She leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Kevin Davis, daughter, Phyllis Holman, brothers, James (Sandra) and David (Lynn) Palmer, sisters, Eula Hooper, Edna Farr, aunts, Norma Jean Calloway, Celestine Williams, Lucille Mosley, brother-in-law, Morris Noland, grandchildren, Kandas Davis, Cedric Holman (Donna), Kevin Davis (Tiffany), Kristian Rollins, God-daughter, Dee Robinson, 8 great grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephews, neighbors and Dayton Mental Health Center friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Rev. Timothy Newkirk officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation from 9 to 11 am. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, Ohio.
