DANIEL TOOMEY GETS SUMMONS
Retired Marine Engineer Dies After Illness of One Year


Daniel Toomey, 68, 925 S. 20th street, retired marine engineer, died early this morning after an illness of one years.

He was born May 24, 1867, at Buffalo, N.Y., and the family moved to Manitowoc when he was seven years old.

Mr. Toomey married Catherine Jorsch who, with thee children and one sister, survives. There is one daughter, Elizabeth, and two sons, John and Earl, all of Manitowoc. His sister, Mrs. T. Hammett, resides at Los Angeles, Calif.

The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home from 7 p.m. Thursday until the hour of the funeral. Services will be conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home and at 9:30 at St. Boniface church. Because of Holy Week, the funeral mass will be sung next week. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery; Members of the Marine Engineers Benefit association, with which Mr. Toomey was affiliated will act as pallbearers.
