HORACE Frederick MULLIS
1930 - September 28, 2013
Eastman, GA- MR. HORACE FREDERICK MULLIS, age 83, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, September 30, at Eastman First Baptist Church, with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating, with a private family graveside service held at Orphans Cemetery.
Mr. Mullis was a member and deacon of Eastman First Baptist Church, treasurer of the Max O'Neal Sunday School Class and a business and civic leader in Eastman and Dodge County. He was a 1947 graduate of Eastman High School, a 1952 graduate of the University of Georgia, a loyal Georgia Bulldog fan, a charter member of the Dodge County Golf Club and a member and past president of the Eastman Rotary Club and Paul Harris Fellow. He was a founder and president of Saunders, Stuckey & Mullis, Inc. and SS&M Realty, Inc., a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, and served as a state and national director. He was also a past president of the Eastman Jaycees and served on the Dodge County Hospital Board for numerous years as a member and chairman. He was son of the late Bertie Mae Handley Mullis & Carlton Columbus Mullis and was preceded in death by a Brother - Carlton Leroy Mullis.
The family may be contacted at the Mullis residence, 824 8th Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends in the Eastman First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Saul J. Reuben & James W. Spradley Rotarian Scholarship, P. O. Box 70, Eastman, the Dodge County Hospital Foundation, P. O.
