Ens. Herbert Pinke, 24, navy flyer, was killed in an airplane crash at Blynco, Ga., yesterday, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Pinke, of Elkton, have been informed.

No details of the accident were given. Ensign Pinke served ten months overseas before returning to this country. He was married on May 14 to Ferne Marian Anderson, a teacher in Mower county rural schools.

The Elkton youth was a graduate of the Elkton high school and attended the college of agriculture, University of Minnesota, before entering the armed forces. He received his commission in the navy air corps at Corpus Christi, Texas, in June 1943.
