In this city, Thursday, October 15, 1896, of consumption, Mrs. Cathrina, wife of Charles Bush, aged 41 years. Deceased was born in Flenburg, Germany, September 28, 1855. She was married there in 1875 to Mr. Bush. Her maiden name was Rabitz. They came to this country 12 years ago, settling in Dexter in this county. In 1887 they moved to Brownsdale and in 1890 to Austin. Mr. Bush has been for the past six years upholsterer for the Austin Furniture Co. Deceased has been growing weaker for years but has been sick in bed for the past four months. A husband and three children are left. The children are Mary, aged 19; Henry, aged 17; and Audrea, aged 12. Funeral services were held on Sunday in the German Lutheran church, west of Elkton, Rev. Slute officiating. Interment in the Marshall cemetery. There German Society of this city headed the procession as it left Austin and the singing at the funeral was by the singing section of the German Society who also acted as bearers. The parents of the deceased are both dead but she has two brothers living in Hamburg, Germany. The family has our sincere sympathy in this great affliction.
