Anthony D. Giles, 57, of Harrodsburg, husband of Adrainne Weldon Giles died Monday, September 2, 2013 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born November 26, 1955 in Shelby County, Tony was the son of the late Edgar Bland Giles and Ethel Mae Lefler Beckett. He was a mechanic, factory worker and a member of the Ellers Memorial Baptist Church. Tony enjoyed watching football, fishing and hunting.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three sons: Joe Allen Mitchell, and his wife, Terina of Boyle County, Jason Dale Mitchell, and his wife, Sherry of Powell County and Anthony Daniel Joseph Giles of Harrodsburg, one brother: Bill Giles of Texas, three sisters: Judy Robinson of Harrodsburg, Ann Quire of Frankfort and Cindy Tyler of Louisville, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Tony was preceded in death by a brother: Greg Giles and two sisters: Lisa Mills and Barbara Robinson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Ronnie Robinson, Mark Robinson, Jeremy Bottom, Levi Combs, Layton Combs and Brandon Parker serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
