Cheryl's focus in life was her family. She loved to be adventurous and spontaneous, whether it would be taking family trips, camping, engaged in her children's activities or just spending time with family and friends. Cheryl loved to be in the kitchen either making her favorite dishes or baking her famous Italian cookies for everyone to enjoy. She also loved to sew and make homemade gifts. She is predeceased by father, James Camardella.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband and high school sweetheart of 24 years, Eric S. Hughes , her beloved twin children; Jordan and Lauren Hughes all of Baldwinsville, her mother, Nicole Camardella and Bob McGruder of Mexico, N.Y., maternal grandfather, Emile Godard of Central Square, sister, Lisa (John) Berardi and their children; Tyler and Kaleena all of Baldwinsville. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, especially acknowledging her dear friend Lori Lake.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners 3541 Route 31 Baldwinsville. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 3494 Route 31, Baldwinsville, with a mass of Christian burial celebrated. The rite of committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
