Dawn Elicia Davis Watkins, age 42 of Winfield, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. Dawn was born in Shelby Co. on November 20, 1970 to Tom and Doris Vinson Davis of Athens, AL.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Mike Watkins of Winfield; her mother in-law, Gay Watkins of Winfield; a brother, Tommy (Shannon) Davis of Decatur; three sisters, Diane Travis of Goodspring, TN, Donna (Kenny) Fletcher of Rosenberg, TX, and DeAunn (Adam) Davis of Salt Lake City, UT; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 29, at 3:00 PM from the First Baptist Church of Winfield. Burial will follow in Winfield City Cemetery with Dr. Charles Ballew, Dr. Paul Murphy, and Jeff Brantley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
