MAURER, NAOMI (Nee POST) 90 - a lifetime New Gretna resident passed away on September 23, 2013 at her home. She graduated from Tuckerton High School. She attended the New Jersey College Commerce. She began her working career with the Draft Board in Ventnor NJ. She retired from the US Postal Service in 1981 after 37 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in New Gretna, NJ, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served as secretary of the Administrative Board and happily typed the bulletin.
She was predeceased by her husband William P. Maurer, her son Bruce Maurer, her parents Sara (Adams) and the Rev. John Post, her brother Newlin H Post, her Aunt Margaret Adams, her sister-in-law Sally Post and her grandnephew James Bowers.
She is survived by a daughter, her brother, a daughter in-law Melinda Maurer, two grandsons, five, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be Sat., Sept. 28th, from 10 am until 12 noon at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 5630 Route 9, New Gretna, NJ 08224 with services to begin at 12 noon.
