Nora "Oneda" (Gray) Selby, age 86, an Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Monday, April 18, 1927, to Howard and Mavis Gray, at Cottonwood, OK. Oneda passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Coalgate, OK. She was 86 years, 5 months and 8 days. She graduated from Atoka High School and then received Bachelors and a Masters Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Oneda was an elementary school teacher at Tushka Public School for 38 years. During her career as an educator she was selected as State of Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. She married John J. Selby on November 9, 1946 in Denison, TX. She was his Queen. Oneda was a member of the Pentecostal-Full Gospel Faith. She enjoyed teaching adult Bible school classes. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking big family dinners, decorating for the holidays, and crafting with the girls. Oneda is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mavis Gray; brothers, Albert Earl"Buck" Gray and Jerry Gray; great granddaughter, Madelene Kay Bess.
