Wolfeboro, NH - Maryan Elizabeth (Scott) Herbert, 90, died on October 11, 2011 at the Goldenview Healthcare Center in Meredith, NH. Mrs. Herbert was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 7, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Marion (Barber) and Frank Davenport Scott. After living in the Franklin, MA area most of her adult life she retired to the Lakes Region in 1987. Mrs. Herbert worked as a secretary for the Franklin School District, and with her husband at Franklin Paint Company. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed painting on canvas. Pre-deceased by her husband, Maurice Sanborn Herbert in 2007, she is survived by three sons, Scott Herbert of Bremerton, WA, Sandy Herbert of Plum Island, MA, and Mark Herbert of Rumney, NH; four grandchildren, Jessica Sharp, Josiah Herbert, Cheyenne Bostrom, and Cassie Herbert; and one great-grandchild, Hayden Herbert. Services will be private. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro and West Ossipee, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
