Maude is buried between her half brother, Chester Alvord, and a couple named Hans and Holmfridur Johnson. Sarah was born in Denmark as were her parent's and this Johnson couple were from Iceland. Maude's mother and step-father are buried on the other side of Chester Alvord. I also discovered however that on the 1920 census showing Maude and her husband Bemjamin in Goldendale, WA that the census said that Maude's mother was born in Iceland so this Hans and Holmfridur Johnson buried by Maude may just very well be her grandparent's, the parent's of Sarah Johnson Alvord?
In further studying this family I discovered that Maude was the granddaughter of this Hans and Holmfridur Johnson she is buried beside. Maude and her brother and parent's and grand parents are all in the same Plot in this cemetery.

After Maude's father, Frank Clapp, was murdered in MN. Maude's mother moved to OR. Maude's mother, Sarah, remarried to a Fred Alvord and Maude married Benjamin Chappell. After Maude died her husband, Benjamin Chappell, also remarried. There is nothing in the paper about any tragic death of Maude so she probably died of some disease like TB or some other deadly disease of that era. Maude's mother remarried to Fred Alvord in MN in 1899 before they came to OR. I don't know if Fred Alvord legally adopted Maude and her little brother Chester "Alvord" or if they were just given the name Alvord? Chester is buried next to Maude with the name Chester Alvord. Chester is on the 1910 census as Chester Clapp. But then that was an obvious mistake on the census since Frank Clapp died in 1897 so could not possibly have been Chester's father so Chester was indeed the son of Fred Alvord.

Maude's mother Sarah is found in several places as being born in Denmark and some say Ireland and some say Iceland. It appears that Iceland is the correct birth location for her.
