Mrs. George Crouse Houser (Mary R. Hillman), Vice President General NSDAR 1974-1977, was also Chaplain of Vice Presidents General Club. She held many chapter and state offices including Chapter Regent. She is a life promoter of C.A.R. and, along with hold several positions, has been the Senior State President in MA. She initiated the first State DAR Directory in 1974 and in 1957 helped to proclaim by law that February annually was "American History Month". She has had several articles published about her achievements including in the "Boston Globe" in 1970. She was interested in locating Revolutionary War grave sites. Educated at Boston University's Sargent College, Mrs. House has studied Parliamentary Law and Decorative Arts and is a member of 25 organizations. She is an avid gardener at her Federal period estate and is a member who brings honor to the Paul Revere Chapter, NSDAR.
