Rose Ann Carr, 65, of Pine Grove Community, passed away Wednesday evening (Sept. 25, 2013) in her residence.
She was born May 13, 1948, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Arlie R. and Helen Ballah Toothman.
Mrs. Carr was a member of Willow Tree Baptist Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Rivesville High School. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, farming, gardening and reading.
Survivors include her husband, James Carr of Pine Grove Community (married 47 years); a daughter, Marlene Rose Leonard of Richmond, Va.; two sons and their spouses, Stanley and Karla Carr of Pine Grove Community and Jay and Sanae Carr of California, Md.; five grandchildren, Kip and Madison Leonard, both of Richmond, Va., and Greg, Alex and Shiloh Carr, all of Pine Grove Community; a sister and her husband, Shirley and Kenny Bragg of Ministers Run; a close nephew, raised by Rose Ann, Tom Moore of Mill Fall Community; and several additional nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper Street, Rivesville, from 6-8 p.m. today, from 2-8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday with Pastor David Knotts officiating. Burial will follow in Snoderly Cemetery in Pine Grove Community. Serving as pallbearers are Kip Leonard, Greg and Alex Carr, David and Mike Bragg, Ryan and Spencer Moore, and Jeff and Jason Carr.
