Hobert Lampley, 68, Cambria, died at 1:15 pm Sunday in his home.
Mr. Lampley was a retired welder for Illinois Central Railroad, and a member of the Eagles Club in Carbondale.
He was born July 7, 1905, in Jonesboro to Jake and Ellen Robinson Lampley. He married the former Mary Lovelace September 20, 1958.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Norma Johnson of Carbondale; three sisters, Cora Holder of Carterville, Dora Sexton of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lucy Roach of St. Louis, Missouri; and two grand-children.
Three brothers and three sisters preceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Huffman Funeral Home in Carbondale with the Rev. Jettie Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory.
Friends may call after 4 pm today at the funeral home.
