Son of Danville Miles HARMON and Bina Iona CORNETT. Married Judy WISEMAN.

Edward Council Harmon, age 66, of Peoria Road, Sugar Grove, died September 22, 2013 at Watauga Medical Center. He was born October 19, 1946. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Wiseman Harmon, two sons; Tony Harmon and wife Kim of Apex, and Terry Harmon and wife Ruthie of Banner Elk, two sisters; Helen Warren and husband Roy and Betty Presnell and husband Alvin all of Sugar Grove, two brothers; Billy Harmon and wife Shelby and Tommy Harmon and wife Linda of Sugar Grove, one granddaughter; Katelyn Harmon, four grandsons; Joshua Harmon and wife Stephanie, Hunter, Benjamin and Grayson Harmon, one great grandson, Jacob Harmon and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Ruth Rominger, one brother-in-law, Larry Rominger and two half brothers, Carson Cornett and Jimmy Watson.

Graveside services were held at the Green Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Eric Cornett, Rev. David Ward and Rev. Donnie Tester.
