Whitney Anne Cloud, 23, of Soldier, Iowa, passed away September 25, 2013, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Whitney Anne was born October 14, 1989, in Onawa, the daughter of William "Bill" and Marsha (Block) Adams. She grew up in the Castana area and attended school at Maple Valley-Anthon Oto High School in Mapleton and West Monona High School in Onawa.
Whitney and Dillon Cloud were united in marriage on December 29, 2009, in Hampton, Virginia.
She worked as a waitress at the A K Corral and a convenience store clerk at the Soldier Speedy Stop. She enjoyed fishing in her spare time and always made friends wherever she went.

Whitney is survived by her husband, Dillon Cloud of Soldier, IA; two sons, Caliber Michael and Atticus Gabriel Cloud of Soldier, IA; parents Bill Adams of Castana, IA and Marsha and David Grindle of Dunlap, IA; three sisters, Elizabeth (Brian) Keeler of Vancouver, WA, Kayla Grindle of Dunlap, IA, and Skye Grindle of Dunlap, IA; one brother, Gabriel Block of Onawa, IA; four stepsiblings, Amber (Ryan) Baack of Ruthven, IA, Jeffery (Leisha) Grindle of Carroll, IA, Kelsey (Josh) Saltz of Omaha, NE, and Melissa (Terry) Barnett of South Carolina; two grandmothers, Emma Adams of Onawa, IA and Marie Block-Smith of Dunlap, IA; father-in-law, Mark (Camille) Cloud of Anthon, IA; mother-in-law, Lori (Ron) Steinhoff of Smithland, IA; three sisters-in-law, Amy (Tony) McFarland of Salt Lake City, UT, Katie Cloud and Nate Ellis and daughter Hazel of Omaha, NE, and Jodi (Ryan) Murphy and son Nash of Florida; stepsister-in-law, Anna Duncan and special friend Zach Goslar of Mapleton, IA; three grandmothers-in-law, Rose Cloud of Mapleton, IA, Karen McGregor of Sioux City, IA, and Hope Friedrichs of Anthon, IA; a special friend, Lynette Bentz of Moorhead, IA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bud Adams and Herman Block, and an aunt and uncle.
