A memorial service for Eddie Arietta Nash Lively, 79, will be held Sun., Jan. 14 at 4 p.m., at the Quinton Christian Church in Quinton. She died Sun., Jan 7, in Stigler, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 17,1927, in Cromwell to Ed and Hester Nash, she and Dale moved to Seaside, Ore. in 1948 where they lived for 15 years before moving to Colo. and then Wyoming. They returned to Okla. to live, in 1974. During her years in Seaside, she was active in Home Extension, PTA and the Seaside United Methodist Church, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother, led a troop of Brownies and was a 4H leader. Her home was always filled with children. While living in Stigler, she volunteered with the Fireman's Auxiliary and attended the Quinton Christian Church. She was accomplished with textiles and needlework and taught porcelain dollmaking. She and Dale put in a large garden each year, a source of great enjoyment.
Preceeding her in death were a sister, Agnes Nash and three brothers, Danny Nash, Harry Nash, and Dick Nash.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Noel Dale Lively; her children, Catherine Lively Farvet and husband, Bob, of Tillamook, Ore., Larry Lively and wife, Susan, of Del Rio, Tex., and Ted Lively and wife Rhonda of Sunset Beach, Ore.; seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Nash Alexander of Mannford, and Edith Nash Warrington of Cromwell.
Flower bouquets are accepted by The Flower Bar in Quinton. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
