Dennis L. Patton, 65, of El Dorado, died Tuesday morning at Via Christi Harry. The celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church.

Dennis was born Sept. 21, 1945 in El Dorado, the son of Luther Merle and Edith Laura Crockett Patton. He has lived in the El Dorado area all of his life and graduated from El Dorado High School with the Class of 1963. As a young man he was very active with the Boy Scouts. He was a survivor of Polio. For more than five years he had worked at Beech Aircraft. He retired after 37 years with Cessna Aircraft, where he worked as a painter and finalassembly on the Citation jets.

Memberships included the First Christian Church and the Cessna Motorcycle Club. He was anaccomplished artist and loved to fish. His family was very important to him. He took care of his father and mother. She said he was a wonderful son.

Surviving family include: his mother, Edith of the home; brothers, Larry M. and wife Sandra Patton and Charles and wife Shirley Patton, both of El Dorado; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church or the Alzheimers association. Kirby-Morris Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
