TUSCALOOSA Charles R. Burroughs, age 81, of Tuscaloosa, died September 24, 2013, at UAB Hospital. Graveside services will 2 p.m. today at Memory Hill Gardens with Chet Jordan officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Allie Mae Burroughs; and six siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtis Burroughs and daughter, Elaine Williams, both of Tuscaloosa; and sisters, Peggy Wyatt and Dorothy Berry, both of Moundville.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of Black Warrior Methane and former co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Heart Association.
