Lacy C. Smith
Lacy Clore Smith, 86, of Spotsylvania County died Friday, August 26, 2005 at her home. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Irvin C Clore, Sr and Elsie Byrd Jones Clore and also was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett G Smith, a granddaughter, Lacy Carol Lee, a great-grandson, Jacob Lettner and five brothers: Alonzo Franklin Clore, Alfred Leroy Clore, Irvin Chandler Clore, Jr, Emmett Pratt Clore and Elmer Lee Clore.
Survivors include her son, Garnett Lee. Smith of Fredericksburg; two daughters, Elsie Mae Lettner of Spotsylvania; Lucy Patricia Dickenson and her husband, Odotha of Spotsylvania; a sister, Lucy Clore Carpenter and her husband, Frank, of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 29 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg with Rev. Matt Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Clore Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 28, at the funeral home.
