Mr. Franklin Delano "Frank" Hughes, 76, devoted husband and father, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on July 24, 1937 in Caswell Co. to the late Charlie Benton Hughes and Jenny Ann Frye Hughes. Frank was member of Woodland Baptist Church since 1956 and retired from Hanes Dye and Finishing with 43 years of service. He worked faithfully in the Bus Ministry for 43 years and was a deacon for the past 30 years. Frank also sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ambassadors Sunday School Class. He was a huge Tarheel Fan and Atlanta Braves Fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hughes, a sister and eight brothers.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Judy Hughes, his loving daughter, Tanya Hughes and two sisters, Ruth McDowell of Boonville and Annie Dee Harrison of Burlington. Frank is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30 on Monday at Woodland Baptist Church prior to the funeral service. Committal services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
